Question: Can a 13 year old work in a fast food restaurants, or is it only 14 year olds?

Answer: Federal law sets 14 as the youngest age you would be able to work in a fast food restaurant, or most other jobs. Different companies may have different policies on how young they will hire people.

I was in your posisition at 13. i am 14 now and am looking for a decent job like at a cafe. maybe at 13 you shoudld try a paper round. i started one but after the first day i quit because the pay wasn't very good for how long it took me. I don't know its up to you but i doubt cafe managers will take on a 13 year old when they could have a 16 year old. or maybe try babysitting...i do that! it is good pay about £3.50 an hour and i work for about 4 hours. have a long think and hey your only 13 concentrate on a social life for now. you have all the time in the world to start work. good luck ly bye
