Question:

What are the motorized skateboard laws for chino valley, prescott area?

Answer:

Each city makes their own laws for motorized skateboards.  The Chino Valley traffic codes are available online and may answer some of your questions about motorized skateboards.  Prescott Town Code (9-1-16) is more strict, and prohibits people from riding motorized skateboards on any city property, or on any public roadway or sidewalk.

Most Arizona cities and towns have ordinances (laws) against excessive noise.  And since some motorized skateboards are quite noisy, you could potentially violate the noise ordinances by using your motorized skateboard in public.

There are also laws giving private property owners the right to ban or restrict use of motorized skateboards, or even skateboards, on their own private property.  At the same time, it is OK if you have permission from the owner to operate your motorized skateboard on their private property.
