heres a little tip if u want to drive a big old gas hog then take it off because im looking to get a '76 Buick Electra and im looking at 8.6 mpg with this crappy cat converter on!!!!! or i could get a '66 Riviera but still have only about 10 mpg with a cat on but my friends dad got 35 mpg on a '75 electra without a cat! plus i did my research on them and found that they release nitrous oxide (N2O) and its 300 times worse for the envirorment then the corbone dioxide it stops!!!

Im about to take my cat off too and run pipes off the manifold. Its not that big of a deal its a dumb piece of metal. Plus i only get bout 13 to the gallon so i need the extra boost. I think all vehicles need straights!!

heres a little knowledge for ya, i may be wrong on the exact year but its in the mid 1970's and i believe 1975 that if ur car is of that year or earlyer then u can take ur cat off and not get in trouble cause of the whole year and catalytic law stuff
