Question: I had my identity stolen when I was 19 and the person stole checks and I just found out that I also got my i.d. stolen (I never realized I just thought I misplaced it). So now I have a warrant out for writing bad checks and a traffic violation. I went to the att. gen. office and tried to fix things and they believe it was me. How do I fix this without actually paying the fine on something I didn't do?
Answer: On the Arizona Attorney General's website you will find the forms to complete when you are a victim of ID theft so you will not be held liable for the thief's actions.
