Question: Do people ever get in trouble for graffiti?
Answer: Yes. Graffiti is a form of Criminal Damage. (A.R.S. §§ 13-1602, 1604). See answers to questions #214, #348 and #622 for some of the definitions and consequences of Criminal Damage.

i graffiti all the time but i just do it in chill spots so there is little to no chance of getting caught i think its complete bull that cops can arrest you for that its just paint and its art in one way shape or form

In Phoenx, AZ more or less the new law states that if you are caught writing graffitti or possessing a can you get an automatic 6 months in jail.
