Question: can officer impound vehicle when licesene was suppended for just not paying traffic ticket?

Answer: Yes, under A.R.S. § 28-3511 a Police Officer shall remove, immobilze or impound a vehicle if the driver's privilege to drive is suspended or revoked for any reason.  The statute also says that if the person has never  been issued a driver's license by this state,  or show proof of a driver's license,  or  permit  issued by another jurisdiction that your vehicle shall be impounded.
