Question:

My niece is hanging out with this kid who is 17 years old. He claims he is emancipated from his parents. He wouldn't show me the papers that say he is. Is there another way to check and see if he really is?

Answer:

According to the Arizona Motor Vehicle Division If an applicant under the age of 18, submits proof of emancipation in accordance with Arizona law, then “Emancipated Minor” will be printed on any driver license, permit or identification card issued.
