Question: If driving with a permit alone and are pulled over what are the possible concerns?

Answer: A Learner's Permit is not a license to drive a car. It is a special permit that allows you to drive a car on the road only for the purpose of learning to drive, and you must have a licensed driver with you at all times.

The point of a Learner's Permit is to give you an opportunity to learn to drive, with supervision from someone with a license.

If you were to be caught driving without supervision, you will first be cited for driving without a license just as anyone else would that is driving without a license. In addition, it is likely that you will not be allowed to obtain a Driver's License at all for some period of time as punishment for breaking the law. The period of time until you could get a License would depend on the circumstances, but will probably be until you turn eighteen year's old.

I was caught driving my moms car with just my permit and I had 2 friends in my mom's car and the police officer just wrote down my name and my date of birth and he let us go home. What do you think he will do with the names and date of birth? I am wondering because its just been a day since then. Will they call my mom or what will happen?

I got pulled over when I was 16 without a license or permit, with 3 people in a 2 seater, no seatbelts, driving without consent to have the car, and doing 55 in a 40. They called my mom and told her to come pick me up. No charges or anything. Guess I was lucky.
