Question: Can a 16 year old go camping unsupervised?

Answer: Yes, if their parent says it is okay. Keep in mind the parent is responsible if the 16 year old gets hurt, into any mischief etc. For the most part, kids under the age of 18 have to obey the reasonable directives of their parents. If they do not, they are considered incorrigible. If the parent is satisfied that the kids camping are responsible, reliable and knowledgeable enough to go camping alone, and give their permission, why not?
