Question: What would the punishment be if someone shoplifted?

Answer: The punishments differ from state to state. In Arizona, shoplifting can be a misdemeanor or felony, depending on the amount of the item taken, the type of item taken (firearms are always a felony) and whether the person has a previous criminal record. For a juvenile in AZ the punishments can include probation, payment of fines, jail for up to one year, commitment to Juvenile Corrections or a treatment facility. It depends on the state and how the judge in court would handle the crime.

hi. if you stole from walmart. you will not be allowed to go back to walmart..that is store policy. and if a person who steals returns i believe they can arrest the person. if you are a minor though. you can shop with your parents. shoplifting is bad but it is forgivable..we all make mistakes..but God forgives us...

I shoplifted just a few months ago with my friend and we both got busted. I'm still awaiting the sub poena. I had to pay the 100 + what I took. If you think you can get away with it...WRONG! They are much more advanced than you would think. Dont' do it.
