Answer: In Peoria, Arizona it is against the law for kids between 16 and 18 years old to be out in public places of the city between midnight and 5 a.m. without being accompanied by an adult over 18 years old. For kids under 16, the curfew is 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Curfew does not apply to a kid on an emergency errand for their parents nor does it apply to kids heading directly to or from work or an organized and supervised activity (such as church).

Kids caught out past curfew is guilty of a class one misdemeanor and can be fined $50 to $150 plus fees and have to perform mandatory community service or educational programs. Parents found guilty of allowing their kids to stay out past curfew are guilty of a class one misdemeanor too, and can be fined $100-$250. Parents might also have to pay extra fees related to the City's court costs and might have to preform community service, counseling, educational programs or even be placed on probation.

I do not agree with the curfew law. I think that your parents should be allowed to set your curew not that state. Its not like I or my friends want to be out extremely late , but what if a circumstance prevents you from getting home on time. Your parents might understand the situation but will the police.

I am sorry. I think that Curfew at 12am is fine. You can go back out at 5am anyways. Its not that big of a deal. If you have plans and you break curfew OH WELL its your fault. Be responsible enough to go back in your house when you are supposed to.

Well, dont get me rong I dont like the curfew laws but they must stand! I am reading past comments and they are all xtremely childishly thought out and suggested. Lets just start with the comment about the 12 year olds complaining that teens dont get enough party time and have lives to along with adults. Well hunny you are Rong! You dont have a live to live and dont need to be out partying or what ever past 12:00 in the morning. Besides if you go t

I agree that curfews are a bunch of nonsense. According to the law a person becomes an adult when they turn 18. Giving an adult a cufrew or someone who is near that age is dumb. As long as the person isn't breaking the law while they are out I don't see why they can't be out past 11 p.m. Get rid of the curfews!!!!
