Question: My Public Defender Lawyer scared me into taking a plea, even though I wanted to fight the charges.

Answer: After you have entered a guilty plea and been sentenced, you have the right to post Conviction Relief under rule 32 of the Arizona Rules of Criminal Procedure. This must be filed within 90 days after the date of sentencing. If you cannot afford a Lawyer, one will be appointed to do this for you. You need to ask for a Lawyer and contact the court to ask them for the necessary forms to fill out for Conviction Relief.
