Question: Who makes laws?
Answer: Similar to the Federal Government, Arizona has 3 branches of Government - the Legislative, the Executive, and the Judicial. The Legislative branch is where elected representatives from all over the state come together to write the laws. The Executive branch, headed by the Governor, is responsible for enforcing the laws. The Judicial branch is appointed (and in some cases elected) and is responsible for interpreting the laws and making sure laws do not conflict with each other or with the state or federal constitutions.
