Question: What are the requirements to become President?

Answer: The United States Constitution outlines the requirements for President in Article 2. This article of the U.S. Constitution also outlines the many powers of the President and Executive branch of government.

Section 1 of Article 2 of the U.S. Constitution states that a President must:

  • be a natural born citizen of the united States
  • be at least 35 years old
  • have lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years

In addition, the 22nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states that a President may not serve more than 2 terms of 4 years each, even if they have only served as President for 2 or more years of one of those terms.

I can't wait until Barack Hussein Obama raises the capital gains tax, takes my 401K away in place of a GRA, and then gives my money to non-hard working individuals. I should only have to work now until I'm 80. But hey, he's well spoken and looks good on TV.

Barak Obama is our President so get over it. No one cares if you don't like this man you don't even know him. For those of you who say he is taking your money to give to the poor shut up. One of those poor people might have to help you one day!!! Remember God has the first and Last say so of everything if he wants to he can destroy the earth and there not be any one elected in 2012. I rest my case:)

I think its funny all of these people who are dismayed at the fact that Obama is President-Elect are joking about going to Mexico. For one thing, Mexico already is a socialist country, and they probably wouldn't have you anyway.

Hey if you got a problem with Obama and want to move to a different country DO IT. Nobody will care and Im sure the U.S. as a whole will not miss your presence. You moving will not affect who our president is. But it will help get one more negative person out of the U.S. Anyone who has hate for our new president can either accept it and learn to live with it or get the hell out!

I believe that President-Elect Obama will do an excellent job leading our country we have already had 8years of Bush (we are currently suffering a depression because of him). It saddens me to see so many comments that are not factually based about President-Elect Obama and I believe that he should be given a fair opportunity to get into office and make a difference for our country. All that is left to say is My Vote Counted!!!!!
