Question: Does a Juvenile have the right of a court appointed attorney?
Answer: Assuming this is a criminal matter, a juvenile has the right to be represented by an attorney. The court will usually appoint an attorney but will require that the juvenile and the juvenile's parents disclose their income so that the judge can determine whether they are able to pay all or some of the attorney's fees.

i think that your the judge shoudl ahve elt u use your attroney cuz i think its not fair cuz he dosne tlet her speak for her case she needs to be repersented by a better attroeny.

When the Judge appoints a lawyer to a juvenile for a custody hearing can the family hire a different attorney for the child? We hired an attorney for my Granddaughter and the Judge denied him on the case. The court appointed attorney does nothing for her. and this denies her a voice in court.

I think that this is a good law because just because we are juveniles dosent mean that we dont need an attorney.
