Question: About how many teens between the ages of 13-15 are in one juvenile detention facility?

Answer: Each Juvenile detention Facility in Arizona is different. Arizona has 15 counties and the counties have different populations ranging from just over 8,000 people in Greenlee county to over 3,000,000 (million) in Maricopa County.

So, you can imagine that the Juvenile Detention facility for Greenlee county would not have as many juveniles as the Juvenile Detention facilities for Maricopa County.

The Maricopa County detention facility featured in the LawForKids.org detention tour, the SEF in Mesa, holds approximately 128 juveniles under the age of 18.
