Question: Why do we have laws?

Answer: We have laws in this country for essentially three reasons. One of the most important reasons is that laws enable our society to function smoothly. For instance, what do you think would happen if there were no traffic laws such as obeying stop signs and stoplights? If we didn’t have laws such as those, we would find it hard to do our everyday business. Also, we have laws in order to protect the safety and basic rights of citizens.

We have laws to help control and protect our society. The sad thing is most laws we have protect us from ourselves. We should be able to live in a society where we dont have to worry about rape, and murder, however some humans are selfish and cause violence. The rules we break are the laws we make. So why do we have laws? its because people dont respect one another.

Yeah, if it was a free nation people could just go around hurting people or worse.

Without laws, we'd have many many problems. People would be forced to make decisions on their own. Rape, would be legal. But if you're cruel enough to rape someone, I'm sure you're cruel enough to break the law.

If we didn't have laws, we would actually speak the truth. It would be a completely free nation.
