Question: How many points does it take for a teen to have their drivers license taken away and how many violations does it take before losing their license?

Answer: In Arizona, minors who receive a ticket for the first time must attend a traffic school. For the second ticket, the minor's license is suspended for three months. For the third ticket, the minor's license is suspended for six months. The record of these offenses stays on a person's driving record even into adulthood.

the first ticket i recieved i was put into a traffic course. but at the second ticket, i was asked to pay a fine. no comment was ever made as to whether or not my liscence was to be suspended and the clerk at the DMV asked me right then if i had any previous traffic tickets.

I recieved 3 tickets while a minor and I never had my license suspended nor was it ever even a question as to whether I would, so I highly question the credibility of this site.

I think this law is good because if you are responsible enough to have a drivers licence (which is a privlege) then you should be prepared to accecpt the concaquences if you are cought doing something wrong.

2nd offense liscense suspended? Now that is just terrible. It's bad enough that it goes through a point system but it's on your record for a total of what? 7 years or something before it's no longer PUBLIC access for insurance companies. There needs to be reform on Arizona's Laws for sure.. strict works I suppose but very unreasonable.
