Question: What is the penalty in Arizona for a minor not wearing a helmet?

Answer: If you are under 18 years old and riding a motorcycle, Arizona state Law (ARS 28-926) says that you must wear a helmet and proper eyewear. Penalties for breaking this law usually include a fine, and/or attendence at driving school.

For Bikes, there is no Arizona Law which mandates youth to wear a helmet. However, your city might have laws (sometimes called 'ordinances') which mandate that youth wear helmets while riding bicycles. Since these laws vary from city-to-city in Arizona, you are encouraged to contact your city's law-enforcement agency and inquire about helmet laws in your city.

I am 51 years old and been riding most of them. I have seen more people paralyzed and killed from helmets in accidents than otherwise {street riders}. I know of what I speak when I say helmets can kill you. Either way, I say, Let it be your choice and not the governments, who are influenced by lobbist dollars,
