My parents got divorced when i was 9, i've been living with my mum and brother since then, but my dad is more than capable of looking after me and my brother. i love being at his house which is only five minutes away from where i live now, my mother would be distraught if i left, but i hate it here. how old do you have to be to legally move without the parent's consent? also, i wouldn't leave my brother, who is 12, and i know he wouldn't be allowed to go. Help.

My mom and dad divorced when I was 7. My dad had/still has a drinking problem. The problem (for me) is I want to live with my dad. But my mom says that I can't move to Texas with my dad because he might kill me in an accident. I should be able to do what I want. After all, I should be happy, shouldn't I? I just wish I could say this to my mom face-to-face.
