Can a cop strip search a minor?

If the circumstances would justify a strip search, there is nothing that would prohibit one just because the person being searched is a Minor. Strip searches can be justified where, for example, a person is being booked into a jail. The goal is to keep contraband (ie, drugs) from getting into the facility. Therefore jailers can strip search new inmates. A police officer cannot strip search someone without a proper reason, however. Furthermore, where strip searches are done, they are usually done by an officer of the same sex as the person being searched unless emergency issues make that impossible.
