Question: I would like to get my personal property back from my stepmother, can I take her to court?

Answer: A:

You could either go into the family courts and ask the judge to issue an order to your stepmother ordering her to give the property back. Also, she could be sued in civil court for conversion (taking someone else's property and making your own). However, you should get legal advice on this issue. Call the Children's Law Center at 602-258-3434 x266. Volunteer lawyers help kids with legal issues at this number in Arizona.

my girlfriend is 17. we've been together for over a year. Almost everynight she sneaks out to stay with me in my trailer. I get her back in time for school, pick her up from school, sometimes before schools out(ditch)take her to work, pick her up from work, and take her home. since we are so close in age, and her past isn't innocent, why am I being charged with contributing to a minor?

Since he is your step-dad, talk to your mother about it, she may be able to talk to him and make hime give you back your cell. If he is you legal guardian he has perfect right to take away your phone, if he isn't, you could probably get him in quite a bit of trouble. I hope this helps, I have been where you are and got my cell back because my stepmother wasn't my legal guardian, Hope this helps Leah

My fiancee and I live in california, and we were offered by who we thought were our friends to stay with them until we found a house. Anyway they started acting wierd and asking us to pay them for the electric bill, 3/4 of there rent and other things. So my fiancee contacted her sister, and she said to come and stay with her, but now these so called friends will not let us get our things unless we come up with all of this money. both of us go to college and have all of our books there as well as t.v. vcr, and x-box for my kids. What can I do. thank you. We are scared for our things.
