Question: Is it legal for parents to lock their kids out if they don't come home by curfew?
Answer: There is no law in Arizona that authorizes parents to lock their kids out if they do not come home by curfew. BUT, as you know, kids can be prosecuted for breaking the curfew laws.

If you were responcible you would have been home on time. It seems your good time was more important than being responcible. Life isn't all about a good time or all about you. Disrespecting your parents is childish. If they bother you so much try making it on your own... it isn't as easy as you might think. You will soon wish you were back at home, trust me I left at 16. It was very hard. And if you think that once you leave you will only have to answer to yourself again, wrong... how about the landlord, the utility companies, your boss... the list goes on...

I agree. If parents love you so much (anyone for that matter) they would not be so inclined to lock you out of your home. And if we're so able to take care of ourselves for those nights they feel like leaving us in the cold, then why aren't we able enough under law to provide ourselves with our own place? They have emancipation in 50 other states for this exact reason.
