Question: May I move in with another adult without my parents' permission?
Answer: When you are 18 years of age you may move in where and with who you wish. Before you turn 18, your parents have the right to control you and the duty to support you in most states, certainly in Arizona. The right of control may not be abused by parents, and may be lost if it is abused. However, a court will not stop a parent from controlling a child unless it can be shown that the parent is doing something wrong.
A parent has the right to tell you where you may and may not live. Indeed, if a parent doesn't exercise proper control over a child, the child can be judged dependent and the state will take over and tell the child where to live.
If you move in with another adult, your parent can come and get you back, and can use the police to do so. This can cause problems for the adult that you moved in with.

well im 16 . all be seventeen in august. well my mom , my sister and i live with my grandma because my mom lost her job and apartment like a year ago due to going to rehab for drugs. that was a year ago though and she barley got a job like 1 month ago and i've had a job for over 3 months now. she is always yelling at me for the stupidest things and my little sister always gets away with the same things. she pisses me off so much and i need to leave before she gets on my last nerver. what should i do. i dont think i'll be able to get emancipated though. i really really want to move out.

My older brother gets to do whatever and the same for my lil sister...when i get in tha littlest trouble i get evrything taken away but its all different 4 my big bro and lil sis.. i would really love to live wit my best friend,or my boyfriend..my bf already said i can.. and like i said i get in trouble 4 every thing and i cant run to my father cuz hes in jail most of tha time.
