Question: Is it true once you become pregnant you are emancipated?

Answer: You must be sixteen or seventeen-years-old to apply for emancipation. You have to be a resident of Arizona and be able to prove that you can support yourself. The court will give you information about the risks and consequences of being emancipated as well as your rights and obligations as an emancipated minor. You cannot apply for emancipation if you are a ward of the court or in the custody of a state agency.

Why are you going to complain about not being able to get emancipated when your not even supporting your own child? You say your mothers so horrible, yet you don't have a job so who's supporting your 6 month old baby. I'm 16, i go to school, work full time and take care of my 2 month old baby, so it sounds to me like you've got it made right now, don't complain you want to be emancipated until your going to act 18 and take care of your own child!

I dont think it is right to have to wate to get emancipated. I have a six month old son and my mom is acting like she is more important then my son and she is not. She is an irresponsible mother and a even wors grandma .I dont trust to leave my son with her. to make it short shes been making my life hell. the problem is i go to school and i dont have a job but i still think i should be able to get emancipated.

I am sorry but the state say you are still a minor. You had sex when you should not have and that is you own fault. You deserve the punishment you parents have given you.
