Question: How old can a kid stay home and baby sitt

Answer: There is no law stating an age a child can begin babysitting. It is a judgment call on the part of the parents of the babysitter and the people who are having you babysit.

I asked a DSHS work at what age children could be home alone for and she told me that school age children can remain home alone for short period. No actual age was given just school age.
