Question:

I am in a foster home that I am finally happy with. I am being forced to visit my biological mother and the plan is for me to go back and live with her. I don't want to. Can CPS make me?

Answer:

If you have a guardian ad litem (GAL) or a court appointed special advocate (CASA), you may want to let them know what your wishes are. You can also write a letter to the court and let the court know what you want.  It is likely that CPS and the court will decide what is in your best interest and make a decision based on that. However, you can let the court and CPS know what your wishes are.

why do you not want to live with your mom? Is she mean to you because you can report child abuse.

I don't know your circumstances, but as you can see I'm from Texas, and my children got wrongly taken away from me 5 yrs. ago, there initials' are J.R. and J.P, and I wish I could have them back, because God knows it kills me every day that they're not with me. Like I said I don't know your situation but if they don't harm you, then I don't know why you wouldn't want to go back. My boys should be 12 and 10 now, and I hope that they ever had the chance to come home that they would.
