Question: My parents do drugs and how do I get away from it?
Answer: Depending on the state, for a child whose parents are not willing or able to care for him or her, a dependency petition may be filed. Some states also allow for a child to request emancipation (Arizona does not allow this). In Arizona, a private person or government agency can petition for dependency. Contact your state's Child Protective Services agency to obtain more help.

Only people who don't smoke weed and criticize among it should stay away from it if you think it's bad, or better yet go away.

My mom smokes weed. Although there are drugs that are more dangerous, I still hate that she does it. I've confronted her numerous times and she'll stop for a little while, but I'll eventually come across her stash and have to yell at her again. It's just so backwards. There are so many websites and help lines for parents whose children do drugs, but it's rare to find help for children whose PARENTS do drugs. It really hurts me and my sister because my mother is wonderful. She's very loving and caring. Even though what she's doing is illegal, we still are extremely close. I love her so much.

My mom is smoking pot. I have confronted her many times about it and she said she would stop. She would for a while but then she would just start again. My family has always told me never to get involved with drugs, and how can i listen to them when they're being hypocritical? I dont know what to do anymore. My mom told me to worry about myself so i guess ill just stop trying to help her. What can i do? shes the mom and im the kid. Sometimes i think im smarter than my parents..

U should definetly report to the authorities that your parent(s) are using cuz i kno what it feels like to be stuck and the only way to get out of it is to tell someone with an authority what is going on so they can get you outta there! BOTH of my parents are drug addicts and to get away from that i told my school principal and now i have a happy life living with my grandparents. My mom is in jail and my dad is hiding from the cops and is gonna face at least 10 days when they find him.
