Question: If the parent allows sexual contact with someone 16 and older what is the law on that?

Answer: Sexual contact is illegal if either one or the other partner is younger than 18. It is still illegal, even if the parents allow it. The only exception is if the two youths are legally married to each other.

I think the age thing stinks big time. I don't get why the law is standing against sex between .. let's say a 17 years old girl and 25 years old guy. but it would allow a 14 with 15 .. a 17 with 17.. whatever.. it is sex anyway. that law doesn't make any things, it only gives parents or some girls the power to drive their anger against these older guys, once they fight with them, or if they don't like them.
