Question: If the parent allows sexual contact with someone 16 and older what is the law on that?

Answer: Sexual contact is illegal if either one or the other partner is younger than 18. It is still illegal, even if the parents allow it. The only exception is if the two youths are legally married to each other.

I'll be 18 in 3 months, and I was sleeping with a 26 year old guy. I know a lot of people disagree with that (my parents got a restraining order on him) and think I should stick to people my own age. Age is really just a number, and in a few years it won't matter. Be sure your ready for sex, and the person is going to be there for you no matter what. Your mature when you know you care, and you don't have to explain it to anyone else but yourself. If your parents can't accept that, then show them your mature enough to make your own decesions. But most of all, don't rush into it, especiall

This is interesting information.. it's like this that I'm writing from Sweden, and we have a law here that says; "no sex before you're 15". So in USA it is 18 not 15? We can't take our drivers license until we are 18, how about you? 16 wasn't it?

Im going out with a 19 year old, and the maturity level is not that big of difference. especially since guys mature slower. He was a senior when I was a freshman. So I think whoever wrote this has never been in this type of situation and has no clue about what it's like

I'm dating a 21 year old guy and I'm only 17! I don't see any harm in dating the person, age shouldn't matter, as long as the partner likes you for you are. I think that if you wish, you could have sex, I think that the limit should be 15 years old. By that age you should know what you're getting yourself into. We have never even had sex before; so all relationships aren't based on sex and sexual actions with your partner!!
