    Laws - View Law: Tobacco

South Carolina Code section 16-17-500 makes it illegal for people under the age of 18 to possess or attempt to possess tobacco.  While this is a non-criminal offense, a minor found guilty of this would face a $25 fine, community service, or be forced to take part in a smoking prevention program.
