Arrested

Can I be arrested for not going to school?

Yes, South Carolina law makes it mandatory for minors under the age of 17 to attend school.  SC Code 59-65-10.  If a student does not go to school, that is a delinquent act and the student can be taken into custody by the police and brought before a family court judge.  See SC Code 59-65-50 to 59-60-70.
