Question: Do you know what states have a drinking age that is under 21? I'm doing a research paper on alcohol and youths.

Answer: There are no states that allow drinking under the age of 21. This is a federal law and not an individual state law.

The drinking age is 21 here.So why is right for you not to beable to drink at 18 when you can be drafted, die for your country, and becaome a legal adult. It is kinda contradicting it's self.It is not illegal to drink under the age of 21 but to purchase it and be in public possesion of alcohol. If your parents but it for you ,legal gaurdian or spouse then it is ok.

The drinking age is NOT a federal law! However, the federal government will not fund state highways unless that states drinking age is 21 and up... (kinda sneeky, huh?)

canadians are funny. now i know why (drinking at 19) and for the kid in utah, you aren't being discrinatied against, the business is protecting themselves because you are a liability to them if you are in there becasue you are underage and if you become drunk it is there fault. they are smart, you are dumb adn no discriminated against.

I enjoy bluegrass music. The bands I like often play in a local bar and pub. Because of the law, I cannot be inside and see and hear the band. I am a very light drinker. Advocates of the law only compare to the extremes. Comparing to only extreme circumstances is a falacy in an argument. Now I am discrimintated against, only because of my age.

the drinking age in Canada is 19. Is this saying that a 19 year old in Canada is more mature than a 21 year old in America? This wole web site completly one sided and doesnt say anything on how america would BENEFIT from lowering the drinking age. I for one am sick of the government and old people who think that they know what is best superimposing their standards upon me. They can't shield our eyes forever.
