Question: Is there a fine for a minor to buy alcohol?
Answer: A minor who buys alcohol is guilty of either a class 1 or class 3 misdemeanor, depending on how he/she was able to convince the seller to give him/her the alcohol.
In addition to a fine of up to $500.00 plus surcharges, the court could also suspend or restrict your driving privileges, order you to perform community service, order you to go to counseling, and, probably worst of all, your parents are required to appear at court with you!

The law(police) have taken all rights from the parents. We cannot punish our children, we tote them in cars to meetings, visit them in jail and pay rent when they are there along with lawyer fees, probation fees the list goes on.
These laws are meant to squeeze money out of everyone. It makes for worse behaved children because the majority of the punishment is for the parents. Why do you think we have problems with the kids today.

I think that the rule itself is fine, but we still have to remember that teenagers still have their whole lives ahead of them. you think that all kids drink but your wrong not all do i have friends that don't yes i also have friends that do. they do get there beer or vodica from other people. your not going to stop them from getting ordrinking it, it has been tried and nothing works. if we even lowerd or got rid of the age limit then teens to day would not drink they wouldn't think its cool because you wouldn't be rebel if they just let you drink no one would think anything of it. to them it would be like drinking soda noone cars.
