Question: If a friend has pot and you are with him, can you be charged with possession of marijuana?

Answer: Anytime you are in the presence of someone performing an illegal act, like possession or use of marijuana, you face the possibility of being charged with the same illegal act. In Arizona, as in most states, criminal liability can be based on the conduct of another person. This is referred to generally as accomplice liability, and requires that the accomplice either aid, abet, encourage, or provide the opportunity for the other person to commit the crime.

I personally have no problem with the recreational use of marijuana, but you obviously don't need to get any less intelligent. (I would say that you don't need to lose anymore brain cells, but it has been proven that marijuana does not kill brain cells. Again, there are no long-term affects from the use of marijuana). Stay away from it, or your grammar will get even more horrific.

I think that if your doctor tells you that don't need it, then you should not do drugs. I did the same thing and I lost a lot of friends. When I got caught smoking all my friends ran and I was the only one that got caught. I spent 1 year and 6 months in jail. DON'T DO DRUGS!!!

I think if you are not under or caring the substance you should not be charged with the criminal act or being arresed.

Marijuana pot whatever you may all call it is still a drug. First they start with pot and then they keep trying other drugs. There is so many ways to have fun and enjoy what god has given us "LIFE". I have raised my kids to say "NO" to drugs and they do not use it. I'm not a user and never will be. Marijuana should never be legalized in the U.S. I have read and heard of the use of marijuana for health problems. Still doesn't convince me at all. As a mom this is my personal opionion. NO TO DRUGS!
