Question: Can I read my Bible in school to my self in class?

Answer: The work that students do in class is subject to the control of the teacher. However, if a teacher gives no guidelines on what students may select to read during a free reading period, a student may read the Bible or any other religious literature.

If that's a law in our school, I'm transfering to a Christian school. Either that or break the school rules.

Back when i used to live in lorain, i was reading my bible in school on my freetime and then my teacher says i cannot do that. and i say yes i can. and then my teacher sends me to the office, then my principal sends me to in school suspension for the remainder of the day and for the next 2 days. now is that violation of my constitutional rights or what!?! if there is one thing i want to say about the law of separation of church and state is that it discriminates christians and if the founding fathers were to see this they would be outraged beyond all words.

I am Mormon, and I always read my scriptures in class and I never get into trouble, so why should anyone else? And even the kids make fun of me, I don't care because it is who I am and what I do.

Hi, me, my mom, my sister, and my brother are all christians and big believers in Christ and I would love to bring my BIBLE to school and read it but I would get in trouble at school. I think that we should be able to read our BIBLE because we are not bothering anyone so why should it matter. Me and my mom have the Holy Ghost and my dad is really putting my mom down; he is always yelling at her, calling her names and me names. He is always making me and my mom cry, so could you please pray for us. Thank you and GOD BLESS!!!!!
