I am commenting in regards to a comment posted. This person makes a valid point concerning a teacher who "forced" the children to pray. Even though personally I agree with this teacher's position, it shouldn't have been imposed onto the students. But I do ask you one question: How can you think that reading the Bible during school should be allowed when you also believe it was right for any religious practice at school to be prohibited? Then what would you call reading your Bible? Just a question...

The Student Bill of Rights protects our right as students to read the Bible during class. As far as those who would persist that the Establishment Clause or the Separation of Church and State is being violated by allowing students to read religious material, then I ask you one question: What were we, as a nation, founded on? Pushing aside the religion that this country was established on is pushing aside our foundation. I defenitly think that reading your bible in school should be aloud. I also think that the school did the right thing to band any religious practice during school, because people are of differant religions. Although, if that is the case, we had a drug awarness lady that came in and she always talked about God, and things like that! On the last day that we were there, she asked us who does not believe in God and a kid raised his hand. So she told the rest of us to put our heads down and pray with her.
