"I wish I never listened to the guys.  It all started out as fun, drinking beer and cruising around the school at night.  We mess around a couple of nights a week and never got caught.  One night, we got pulled over by the cops, I was driving and had 3 buddies in the car with me.  We drank a full six pack and still had the empty bottles in the car.  A soon as I heard the siren I knew we were busted.  I wound up in jail for 24 hours.  My parents had to hire a lawyer and we all had to go to court.  My coach found out and I got thrown off the football team.  I lost my part-time job cause I didn't show up for work that night.   I just started the job and was saving money toward my new car.  Instead, the judge ordered me to pay a $250 fine and I had to do 50 hours of community service by running errands for senior citizens in my neighborhood.  What a mess for me and my family.  I'm graduating in a few months and my parents had promised to give me a down payment for my car, but now that car is out of the question.  I won't let my friends talk me into drinking and driving ever again.

I'm very proud of you because you accept your mistake, and it takes a real man to accept that what he done was wrong. You are really lucky and should thank God for this second chance that He is giving you. And also thank the police officer that arrested you because if he hadn't, then maybe something wprse could have happened. Remember that when you are driving, not only do you have your life in your hands, but also the lives of others. Don't play around with something that is valuable.

While reading some of these comments, I almost feel as if some of these people are trying to make you feel even worse than you already do. All I have to say is that you made a mistake, you are human just like everyone else, it's just your mistake got you in some trouble. Keep your head up and don't let this bump in the road discourage you from going on and making your life better than what it is. As far as I am concerned what's done is done and you can't change it, only hope that it will make you a better person because of what has happened.

Understand what you are saying but...in north dakota that is just about what all the teens do around town.... we go out on the weekends and roadtrip.. nothing else to do around here.. so we acturally have a lot of minors or people just going to jail because they were drinking & drivin. But i feel sorry for ya man.. i just got pulled over last nught and just got the beer takend away and thats it...
