    Laws - View Law: JOYRIDING

Joyriding is defined as borrowing someone’s car, bicycle, boat, or motorcycle without permission and with the intention of just using it for a while.

Even if you are just a passenger, you are still responsible and if the vehicle gets damaged you may have to pay.

Other penalties for joyriding are counseling, community service, probation, house arrest, detention, or having your driver’s license or permit taken away.

I honestly didn't even second guess myself when I went joyriding, I figured I was only going across the neighborhood it'll be fine, well needless to say I got caught! On top of losing my entire socal life I lost my parents trust~ Today is my first day off of punishment and I still have limited privlidges and I'm lucky to have any~ It's not worth it to have the 15 minutes of adreniline rush, it's going to take me 300 times longer to regain what I lost, and if I had hit something or someone it would have been so much worse, I'm telling you first hand it's not worth the risk of geetting caught!
