If I am a minor and have entered into a contract to buy a car from an adult, is there anything I can do to get out of the contract?
Sometimes a person under the age of 18 can get out of a contract. If the person's parent or guardian co-signed the contract or if the person lied about his or her age, the person probably cannot get out of it. Sometimes there are time limits on getting out of a contract.
However, once you are 18, the person you entered into the contract with may be able to sue you to enforce the contract you entered while you were a minor.
