Does a cop have to document a breathalyzer test?

Yes, according to South Carolina Code section 56-5-2950(d), a person that is required to submit to a breathalyzer must be given a written report including the time of arrest and the results of the test.  Also, under subsection (e) of this law, if the police fail to follow the procedures for a breathalyzer test, the results of the test cannot be entered as evidence in a court of law.
