"I started drinking and smoking marijuana when I was ten years old and now I'm fifteen years old. I'd go into my parents liquor cabinet and have parties and invite my friends over whenever my parents were out-of-town. We would see how much we could drink before we did something silly. My best friend Susan was 18 years old. One night, we decided to drive to the mall and hang out. Susan was the only one with a drivers license. That night Susan seemed kind of out-of-it, and I know I shouldn't have gotten into the car with her, but I didn't want to show that I was scared or chicken to drive with her. I never knew that Susan had been arrested before for drunk driving. She was my best friend but she never told me that. Anyway, that night on the way to the mall, we had the radio blasting and we never heard the oncoming fire engine. I can't remember exactly what happened, but I ended up in the hospital for 3 months with a broken pelvis and punctured lung. My best friend Susan died at the scene. I went through drug rehabilitation and I'm okay today. But I will never forget what happened and I'll never party with drugs or alcohol again and I'll never drive with anyone who drinks and uses DRUGS!"

There are alot of things that will impare your driving more than Marijuana, one day one of my best friends got in a car accident and he called me in the morning to tell me he had to be in a wheel chair for a month, right after talking to him I had to drive to the grocery store and it was so much harder driving then than driving stoned out of my mind.

This comment is related to everyone, it is your choice if you decided to get into a car with someone who is intoxicated, and it is your choice if you want to smoke pot, the only person to blame when bad things happen is yourself, because of poor decisions sorry but its reality, you can drink and do it in moderation, and you can decide when to get into a vehical with someone. its not because of your parents, or your friends decisions, its because of YOU.I understand what kind of peer pressure there is im a senior in high school, but you can be smart about things when you're doing them illegaly.

Rico, your comments are TOTALLY INCORRECT. Check your research! Isn't it logical that if you keep pot smoke in your lungs longer there will be some results that aren't healthy? Brand new research is being conducted at UCLA. Not only is pot smoke related to cancer, but it's not just the lungs- throat cancer too!

I'm sorry that happened to you. Sure there are a lot of if's and why's, but it happened and life goes on. Hang in there and never make that mastake again. It was a good thing you weren't killed. Tell people your story, and maybe you can prevent it from happening to someone else.
