Falsely pulling a fire alarm

Tampering with fire safety equipment puts lives and property in danger. Firemen and emergency personnel can't get to a real emergency in time if they are distracted by a false alarm. If a person gives a false alarm or interferes with an emergency call box, he or she would be guilty of a misdemeanor that is punishable by up to $500 in fines and 30 days in jail.
