Racing

It is illegal to race on public roads in South Carolina.  The penalty for racing includes: a fine between $200 and $600, 2 to 6 months in jail, and a driver's license suspension for 1 year.

It is also illegal to allow someone else to race your car.  In that case, the penalties include: up to $100 in fines, up to 30 days in jail, and a driver's license and motor vehicle registration suspension for 3 months.
