Suspension of Driver's License for Controlled Substance Violation

In South Carolina, the driver's license of anyone convicted of a controlled substance violation will be suspended. 

If a person is convicted of an offense involving marijuana or hashish, his or her driver's license will be suspended for 6 months. 

If a person is convicted of an offense involving any other controlled substance, his or her driver's license will be suspended for 1 year.
