well actually, respect for authority works better as a basis for interaction in the millitary, which is where it sounds like you've goten your brainwashing propaganda from. the incorrigibility law is pretty obviously just a catch all designed to give authorities be they parents or police the end word so they can always be right. this site is quite rediculous, the comic strips to teach kids about crimes are telling them not to do stuff for all the wrong reasons. what neo-conservative group funds this site anyways?

What could happen if I frequently curse out my mother, don't listen to her when she tells me to stay home. I don't run away because I come back home and when she triies to talk to me or punish me I break something in the house that belongs to her. So, she sends me over to my dad's for a week and I did not go to school the next day because I did not respond to my dad trying to wake me up for school. So I went over my mother's house while she was at work. She has threatened to call the police on me but what's the real deal. Nothing can happen with the law right!

I cant help but think that this law is just a fall back for when a cop has no other presidence to arrest or apply authority over teens. Adults dont like the way teens dress, talk, and act and this is their excuse to say waht we did wrong when we otherwise were just maybe being teens!

Teenagers are making the transition from status offenders to violent criminals. These young violators must be held accountable and punished for their offences. The first line of defence of anti-juvenile crime is respect for authority. Teaching this old but important trait is the job of every member of society.
