Possession and Use of Marijuana
Possession and use of marijuana is either a felony or a misdemeanor. Possession of marijuana that you intend to sell is a felony. Possession and use of marijuana can result in probation, attending classes on the harmful effects of drugs, and performing community service. (ARS 13-3405). You may also lose your driving privileges.
An adjudication on a marijuana charge goes on your record and can follow you throughout your life. For example, a candidate for a U.S. Supreme Court appointment was disqualified after admitting he had used marijuana as a student.

I don't think that it is right for people to judge "Potheads" and say that they are all alike. Just because people smoke weed it doesn't mean that they can get good grades and be a good kid and get a good job and take controll of their life. Most people actually have at least tried weed. There are alot worse things(crack, meth, and ecstacy). I think that they should make weed legal and just get over it. If weed is so bad, then why do they use it to cure people?

It's not going to kill you to smoke weed, actually you probably would like it, but it's the long term social issues like not being interested in school, or finding a nice girl with a good head on her shoulders, or participating in sports. Eventually you will regret you did it. Five years from now those kids smoking, will be the 30 year olds you see working a dead end job being non productive. If you value having goals and dreams of being someone or doing something, don't do it.

All my friends smoke weed, and every friday they go they ask me... "yo you wanna come?" but i always say no...
i say no because of what everyone told me throught my life. like D.A.R.E. and everyone saying drugs are bad... i figure.. if sooo many people are telling me its so bad, then it must be bad. and i told my friends that. but they just say its never killed anyone and it has no long term effects. I dont know what to do... i dont feel pressured at all... but.. im just confused.... I dont know if its bad or not... so many people have different ideas.
any tips?

Personally I think the government just doesnt want to deal with all the health freaks that would make a huge deal & say things like bribery & corruption takes place to pass laws. Other than that I think our economy could benefit from legalizing, the government could just overtax it & make all kinds of money. Pot doesnt ruin lives, by the way, you have the choice of what to do with your life & nothing can change that, weed is impossible to overdose on therefore it DOESNT kill people, their actions do & not everyone is irresponsible with substances. Please consider my opinion before you dis it.

The reason that no one has died from it, is because you cannot actually measure the deaths caused by marijuana. There is no way to legally monitor those using the drug. If they have no records of who uses them, and who doesn't, they can't monitor those who die from it. Nobody dies from cigarette use. They die from complications that MAY be related to cigarette use. People do die because of marijuana. There are teens that get in car accidents when they are on it, and die as a DIRECT result. Research it BEFORE you do it, not while you're on it. Otherwise it's your choice, your body.
