Laws - View Law: POSSESSION AND USE OF MARIJUANA

    Possession and Use of Marijuana

Possession and use of marijuana is either a felony or a misdemeanor. Possession of marijuana that you intend to sell is a felony. Possession and use of marijuana can result in probation, attending classes on the harmful effects of drugs, and performing community service. (ARS 13-3405). You may also lose your driving privileges.

An adjudication on a marijuana charge goes on your record and can follow you throughout your life. For example, a candidate for a U.S. Supreme Court appointment was disqualified after admitting he had used marijuana as a student.

Marijuana is bad for your lungs but not worse then tabacco. It can be used for times of hardship and for fun with your friends. If you dont like it then dont do it and stop griping at the people that do. It doesnt ruin your life unless you let it. It should be legal, alcohol is actually physically addictive and you can OD.

Marijuana is harmful to your lungs. Marijuana contains resin, which is one of the things that gets you high, resin extremely hurts yours lungs. Marijuana would be absolutely harmless if the government would legalize "marijuana cigarettes". If marijuana was smoked through a filter, that would contain the harmful resin, yet still get you high. Push for legalization, but for the right reasons. Otherwise, no one will take you seriously.

Marijuana has no proven long term effects. All the clinical studies and everything can't even prove that it messes with your lungs. The only reason marijuana isn't legal now, is because first of all, the government can't tax it. Second of all, if they did legalize it, it would make a lot of people mad, because of all the lies the government has told us about it... Remember that old commercial that said one Joint held about as much tar as a pack of ciggarettes or something like that?
