    Laws - View Law: FIGHTING AND ASSAULT

    An assault is committed any time a person knowingly causes physical injury to another person. It is also any time that someone may feel physically threatened or when someone touches someone else to provoke or insult them. (A.R.S. § 13-1203).

    Sometimes assault is classified as a misdemeanor. Aggravated assault is a felony. It is important to know this and to realize that fighting can be illegal. If you are involved in a fight, you could also be charged with disorderly conduct or disturbing the peace.

    If you're fighting to defend yourself,then I think you shouldn't be charged for gang fighting or fighting for fun. It doesn't make sense for someone to get in trouble with the law for preventing themselves from getting injured or killed, ya know? However, I do think it is perfectly reasonable to be charged for fighting for fun if that was honestly what you were doing. Other people may have different opinions. That is just mine.

    Uhh... I'm not really thrilled about kids getting the crap beaten out of them being punished for... getting the crap beaten out of them. People seem to just punish them both without question, which only proves that you think of us as a bunch of evil little monsters who should have no right to have a say. -_-
