Laws - View Law: JOYRIDING |
Joyriding is defined as borrowing someone’s car, bicycle, boat, or motorcycle without permission and with the intention of just using it for a while.
Even if you are just a passenger, you are still responsible and if the vehicle gets damaged you may have to pay.
Other penalties for joyriding are counseling, community service, probation, house arrest, detention, or having your driver’s license or permit taken away.

i used to go joyriding all the time until i got caught the other day. My punishments were bad.. like my parents made me compose a 1000 word essay about the consequences of joyriding, then hand it in to the english literature professor at NPC college to grade. gotta be a C or B or A or else i get a month of grounding. And.. my license has been completly suspended until i turn 18. i have been reading all ya'lls comments in hopes for some help with my essay.. but im still bout 900 words short. i would say that if ur like me and love the adrenaline.. find something legal to do. ding dong ditch?

My nephew just took his dads truck while he was sleeping and totaled the truck. This kids mom was killed about 5 years ago, dad is working his tail off to support 3 kids, and now his ONLY means of transportation was wrapped around a tree! Your comments make it sound like this is funny! He just leveled the chances his dad can get to work...took out a lot of his chances for the future...lost parent and family respect. There is NOTHING cool about this. I feel sorry for those of you that don't see following the law as important. You are the future. Wake up and think about your actions!
